On Wednesday (7), the National Association of Games and Lotteries (ANJL) formalized its affiliation with the Business Leaders Group (Lide) during a meeting in São Paulo (SP). In this way, the event marked an important partnership for the sports betting sector, which faces continuous challenges in Brazil.
ANJL represents several bookmakers
João Dória, president of Lide and former governor of São Paulo, welcomed ANJL to the group. Lide brings together several prominent companies in Brazil and abroad. Among the main associated companies are:
- Natura
- Nubank
- Grupo Doria
The group stands out for 3 main reasons:
- They operate in various sectors of the economy
- Adopt corporate governance practices
- Have social responsibility actions
But the group, in total, is made up of more than 1,700 companies, with annual revenue of more than R$200 million. Therefore, ANJL’s entry is very important for the sports betting sector.
Plínio Lemos Jorge, president of ANJL, highlighted the importance of membership. “The integration of ANJL into this ecosystem provided by Lide will be very important this year and, especially, next year, when we will have a properly regulated online gaming and betting market in Brazil.”
“So, this affiliation will allow the exchange of ideas and concrete proposals for the sector. Furthermore, it will allow for greater dialogue with other sectors such as, for example, finance, advertising, compliance, among others.” – he stated.
ANJL represents a range of operators in the iGaming sector in Brazil. Among its members are the platforms:
- Galera.bet
- Big Brazil
- F12.bet
- PagBet
- Betnacional
- Mr. Jack
- Parimatch
- BetFast
- Aposta Ganha
- Liderança Capitalização
Additionally, it includes payment companies operating in the gambling industry.
Therefore, by joining Lide, ANJL seeks to strengthen its presence in the market and promote a more regulated and collaborative environment for the sports betting sector in Brazil.
