The Paris 2024 Olympic Games don’t stop. There are more than 10 thousand athletes competing to represent their countries in more than 300 sporting events. The French capital is the setting for new stories and bets every day.

Betfair, one of the leaders in sports betting, carried out a thorough analysis of the modalities and Brazilians’ chances of winning medals.

USA remains strong in the medal table

Despite not being in the Top 5 of the overall medals table, the USA remain favorites to lead the Paris 2024 medals ranking. According to Betfair, the probability of the Americans finishing at the top is 71% (odds of 1.2 ).

China, the current leader, remains with a 25% chance (odds of 3.5). Other countries like France, Japan, the United Kingdom and Australia only have a 1% chance each.

Canoeing: Isaquias Queiroz in search of record

So far, the Brazilian delegation has won five medals: two silver and three bronze. But the question is: where will the next ones come from? Betfair offers a detailed view of Brazil’s medal possibilities in various sports.

Isaquias Queiroz, who already won gold in 2020 in the C-1 1000 category, has a great chance of winning another gold medal in the 1000m individual canoe in Paris. According to the platform, your chances are 58% (odds of 1.73).

Surfing: Medina and Weston-Webb in the fight for medals

Gabriel Medina, one of the favorites in surfing, has a 31% chance (odds of 2.63) of winning his first Olympic gold medal. His main rival is Frenchman Kauli Vaast, with a 14% chance.

In women’s surfing, Tatiana Weston-Webb appears with a 7% chance (odds of 12.0) of winning gold, but her podium chances are 25% (odds of 4.0). The favorites are Vahine Fierro and Caroline Marks, both with 20% chances (odds of 4.5).

Alison dos Santos, known as ‘Piu’, is one of Brazil’s great medal hopes in the 400m hurdles. Despite not being the favorite, he has a 20% chance (odds of 4.33) of winning the race, behind only Rai Benjamin and Karsten Warholm.

Boxing: favoritism for Bia Conceição and Keno Marley

The Brazilian Women’s Football Team, despite facing challenges, managed to advance as one of the best third-placed teams. The next challenge is against France. Betfair gives just a 3% chance (odds of 26.0) for Brazil to win gold, with the USA and Spain as the main favorites, both with 32% chances (odds of 2.5).

Volleyball and Beach Volleyball

The Women’s Volleyball Team is in second place in the race for gold, with a 16% chance (odds of 5.0), behind only Italy. In beach volleyball, George Wanderley and André Stein have a 6% chance (odds of 12.0) of winning gold. In the women’s category, Ana Silva Ramos and Eduarda Santos are the favorites with a 27% chance (odds of 2.87).

Basketball: American Dream Team is favorite for gold

In men’s basketball, the American Dream Team’s chances are 72% (odds of 1.2) of winning gold. Canada appears as second favorite, with a 10% chance (odds of 8.5), while Brazil has less than a 1% chance of a medal.
