The Permanent Subcommittee for Sports Betting Regulation (SUBAPOST) was installed under the presidency of deputy Luciano Vieira (REPUBLICANOS-RJ).
Thus, the election was presided over by deputy Antonio Carlos Rodrigues (PL-SP) and took place efficiently and quickly, with no problems reported.
Subcommittee has a diverse team
Vieira thanked and expressed his desire to invite the president of the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF), Ednaldo Rodrigues and the Minister of Sports, André Fufuca, to participate in the debates involving the topic.
In this way, the subcommittee promises to be an important space for discussion on the regulation of sports betting in Brazil. In addition to Vieira, nine other deputies make up the subcommittee:

Career of deputy Luciano Vieira
Luciano Vieira Mendes, better known as Luciano Vieira, was born on April 26, 1988, in Rio de Janeiro (RJ). He began his political career as a councilor in the capital of Rio de Janeiro in 2020. But in 2022, he took a leave of absence from his position as a councilor to run for the Federal Chamber.
Thus, Vieira won the election as federal deputy in 2023 for the Liberal Party (PL) of Rio de Janeiro, receiving a total of 84,942 votes. Then, during his term, he joined the Republicans in 2024.
As a federal deputy, Vieira has participated in several committees. Furthermore, he was a full member of the Sports Commission, the Health Commission, and other important commissions, until today he became the president of SUBAPOST.
It is worth mentioning that Luciano Vieira is the brother of state deputy Léo Vieira. Together, they joined the Republicans in 2024.
