Online gaming revenue in Portugal reached 205.9 million euros in the second quarter of the year.
Physical game revenue also increased in the same quarter.
The record quarterly result represented an increase of 41.8% year-on-year and 4.9% compared to the first quarter.
According to figures released by the national gaming regulator, SRIJ, online casino was the biggest driver of growth.
Online casino revenue increased by 51.6% year-on-year to €122 million.
Players bet a record 3.24 billion euros on online casino games, 82.5% of which were on slots.

French roulette represented 7.6% of the amount bet and blackjack, 5.4%.
Sports betting revenues also increased year-on-year, rising 29.8% compared to the second quarter of 2022 to €84 million.
However, this number represents a slight decline compared to the first quarter.
The value of sports betting was €357.6 million, an increase of 17.1% year-on-year but a decrease of 19% sequentially.
Football generated 68.4% of all bets, while tennis represented 20.1% and basketball 7.4%.
The SRIJ reported that the number of players who self-excluded from online gambling was 181,600, including 33,800 new registrations.
Around 190,200 new game registrations were created, with 3.8 million people holding accounts by the end of the quarter.
Physical gaming revenues also increased, rising 6.8% year on year to €66.8 million.
Slot machines accounted for the majority, at €49.6 million, but only increased by 1.8%.
Revenue from casino and bingo games increased by 24.4% to 17.2 million euros. American roulette generated revenue of 6.1 million euros during the quarter, with baccarat’s share at 5.1 million euros and blackjack at 6.1 million euros.
