Pix, the Central Bank of Brazil‘s instant payment system, has become the preferred payment method among users of online bookmakers, according to a survey carried out by Pay4Fun.
The survey revealed that 9 out of 10 users use Pix to make payments with bookmakers.
In the last semester, the total number of transactions via Pix in bets reached the mark of 304.576 thousand transactions.
Already in the year, Pix recorded a total of 4,952,560 million transactions.
The modality stands out with 90% of users’ preference over other payment methods such as debit, bank slip and bank transfer.

In all, more than 400 betting companies were considered in the Pay4Fun survey, providing a macro analysis of the market.
Founded in 2018, Pay4Fun is the first payment institution operating in the sports betting sector to receive authorization from the country’s Central Bank.
Operating with more than 400 integrated websites in the entertainment segment, the company reached the mark of BRL 2.4 billion in financial transactions in 2022 and believes in the expansion of the online betting market around the world.
The company was considered the Best Payment Method for Latin America in the award promoted by SAGSE 2022 and chosen as the Best Payment Method at the Brazilian iGaming Awards.
