Total online and retail sports betting in Ohio was $362.1 million in June, down 18.9% from $447.5 million in May.
It was the lowest monthly amount since legal sports betting began in the state on January 1.
Ohio’s 18 online bookmakers accounted for 96% of the market.
Results of the main sports betting houses in the state
The main bookmakers recorded the following results:
- FanDuel registered 120.3 million dollars,
- DraftKings with $117.5 million,
- Bet365 with 26.5 million dollars,
- BetMGM with 25.8 million dollars
- Caesars with $20.4 million.
The Ohio Casino Control Commission (OCCC) reported sports betting revenue of $32.6 million. That is, a drop of 43.7% in relation to May (US$ 57.8 million).
The US state claimed nearly $442,000 in tax revenue, bringing the total for the first six months of the year to more than $12 million.
Sports betting in may
The combined total for online and retail sports betting in Ohio was $447.5 million in May, down 14.4% from $520.6 million in April.
Ohio’s 18 online bookmakers accounted for 97% of the market, with $430.7 million in wagers.
While retail sports betting reported $15.6 million.
Ohio collected $5.78 million in taxes. As a result, the state has recorded $51 million in tax revenue since its January 1 launch.
