Last Saturday, April 15, Santos officially announced the end of the agreement with the sports betting house Pixbet as the club’s master sponsor. The announcement was made through social networks, through a video in which the team thanks the company for the partnership.
With the end of the agreement with Pixbet, Santos now has a clear path to announce its new partnership with Blaze, another sports betting company that is linked to striker Neymar.
Negotiations for the new sponsorship included the participation of the father of the PSG striker and the Brazilian national team. He got involved in the negotiations in the final stretch, when all the details were already underway.
Santos will receive around BRL 45 million with the new agreement, which will be valid for two years. The amount is almost double what the club receives with the current sponsorship of Pixbet, which pays R$ 25 million to Alvinegro Praiano.
The club had signed a two-year contract with Pixbet, which required both parties to reach an amicable agreement to terminate it. Santos is expected to announce Blaze as its new master sponsor in the coming days.
