Kindred announces it will continue funding amateur sports in France

Kindred said it would supply equipment and other sporting goods to 400 amateur football and basketball teams in France during 2023. The programme, which is titled #AuCoeurDuFootball becomes #AuCoeurDuSport – which means ‘sports at heart’ – will have a average of €2,500 saved by each team.

Adrien Julian, Head of Corporate Affairs France for the Kindred Group, said: “Being at the heart of local communities, Kindred strongly believes that amateur sports play an important role in society.”

“Given the lasting effects of the pandemic, which have hit amateur clubs hardest, it only makes sense to reinforce our commitment and extend our support beyond football.”

Unibet is proud to continue to equip thousands of athletes, men and women, across France. And as part of Kindred’s wider Journey Towards Zero approach, all shirts will carry responsible gaming messages,” he added.

Meanwhile, Laurent Latour, secretary of FC Chancelade Marsac, added: “So far, between shirts, kits and materials, we estimate that we have saved around €3,500”.

“This is clearly a big budget for our club and it allows us to have a quality kit. In addition to the kits, #AuCoeurDuSport helped to bring people together: a photo session was organized to participate in the Unibet Awards and meetings were organized with the other clubs selected in the operation”, added Latour.

Since Kindred started getting involved with amateur sports in France, the brand has supported more than 780 similar clubs since 2019 – in addition, the program’s application deadline for basketball and soccer teams ends on February 28th.
