Betfair survey shows what are the main transfer chances in world football in 2023

The European winter window for international transfers opened at the beginning of the year in the main centers, and the ball market promises to be increasingly heated after many players stood out in the World Cup. Check out the main transfer odds for the month of January, according to Betfair, a specialist in odds analysis.

Major transfers confirmed in the January window so far have included Portugal’s João Félix, who left Atlético Madrid for Chelsea after excelling at the World Cup in Qatar; the departure of Gustavo Scarpa, Brazilian champion for Palmeiras, to Nottingham Forest; and, naturally, the announcement of star Cristiano Ronaldo, who has been without a club since his termination with Manchester United, and who will play for Al Nassr, from Saudi Arabia, where he will receive R$ 1 billion per year.

Betfair surveyed the transfer market and found out the possibilities of other stars transferring in 2023 and the likely arrivals of renowned athletes to Brazilian teams:

Benzema

Protagonist in the Champions League title won by Real Madrid in 2021/22, which also led him to win the Ballon d’Or last year, the French playmaker can exchange the Spanish league for the Premier League this season. For Betfair, Manchester United is the favorite club to receive Benzema with a 13% chance. Another club interested in the striker is Arsenal, which appears with 6%.

Neymar

The Brazilian star was probed this week by two English clubs. However, the chances of the Brazilian leaving PSG and moving to Newcastle or Manchester City in 2023 are only 6% in Betfair’s analysis.

Another analysis carried out by Betfair experts was whether Neymar will change clubs during the year 2023. According to the bookmaker’s numbers, there is a 40% chance that the Brazilian will leave PSG for another club by the end of 2023.

Enzo Fernández

Revelation of the World Cup in Qatar and world champion for Argentina, midfielder Enzo Fernández is on Chelsea’s wish list. According to Betfair’s expectations, there is a 75% chance of this signing taking place in the beginning of the year.

Brazilian market on the rise in 2023

Betfair calculated that there is a 9% chance of Firmino playing for São Paulo in 2023, for midfielder Isco to defend Mengão there are a 10% chance, while Oscar has only a 5% chance of returning to Brazil to sign with the club from Rio de Janeiro.
