Atlético Mineiro should present its new home to the fans soon. Known as ‘Arena MRV’, the stadium promises to be a turning point in the history of the football club in Minas Gerais. Executives from Betano, the club’s main sponsor, visited Galo’s new home recently and were impressed with the new facilities.
George Kypraios, sports marketing manager, and Arthur Niggemann, marketing manager, also visited Cidade do Galo, the Training Center for the professional, women’s and youth soccer teams. They were received by Atlético’s commercial executive, Pedro Melo, who spoke of the importance of the meeting.
“The partnership with Galo is strategic for Betano, which is an important partner for the club as well. We’ve been together for two years now and we’re getting closer and closer to the ties between the Club and the company”, highlighted Melo.
George Kypraios, on the other hand, stated that Betano is very excited about the partnership with Atlético-MG. “It was our first sponsorship agreement in the Brazilian market, in 2021, and it coincided with Atlético’s winning the Brasileirão, Copa do Brasil and Supercopa do Brasil. We are confident in a future of many titles”, he said.
“We know a little more about the rich history of the club, a glorious past of legendary players; an impressive gift, with Cidade do Galo, a fully equipped training center and an international reference; and a promising future with the imposing MRV Arena. We are more than grateful.”
According to a note on the club’s official website, Atlético has a sponsorship contract with the sports betting company until the end of 2024.
