Sportradar and the FanDuel Group have announced the signing of a new official NBA data partnership through the end of the 2030-31 season. Under the terms of the agreement, Sportradar will provide FanDuel with official NBA data and supplemental betting services for its sports betting platform.
In addition, FanDuel has also agreed to extend its original August 2021 main data deal with Sportradar to September 2031, which continues Sportradar’s designation as FanDuel’s preferred data and odds provider.
Sportradar and FanDuel will collaborate to improve the sports betting experience through innovative products and offerings, including, for the first time, using certain player tracking data to create props and support the growth of gaming rooms.
FanDuel has become the first North American sports betting operator to use Sportradar’s official NBA data, following the global technology company’s historic partnership with the NBA announced in November 2021.
In addition, FanDuel teams in the United States will begin using Sportradar’s proprietary Live Channel Trading (LCT) product. LCT is the industry’s fastest solution for live trading with all matches streamed over Sportradar’s Video Delivery Network (VDN), a back-end live video streaming system that provides audio-visual feeds of games up to eight seconds faster than any TV station.
“As the largest operator in North America, FanDuel is an exceptional partner, relying on our products and services to help define their market differentiation,” said Carsten Koerl, CEO of Sportradar.
“We are excited to further expand our relationship with FanDuel in a way that will evolve and grow the US sports betting market as we continue to leverage our long-term partnership with the NBA. This agreement demonstrates the value of our strategy. in the delivery of products and services on top of data rights”, added Koerl.
Christian Genetski, President of FanDuel Group, said, “FanDuel’s top priority is to provide a world-class product experience to our customers. As we closed this deal, it was extremely important that our commitment to NBA basketball and its official data be linked to a substantial reinvestment in product innovation and enhancement that will ensure FanDuel maintains a leading offering in the NBA market.”
“We are excited to continue our long-term relationship with Sportradar as their comprehensive data is a critical element to a successful customer experience, and we now have long-term stability as we move forward,” added Genetski.
Sportradar’s data partnership with the NBA makes it the exclusive worldwide provider of NBA, WNBA and NBA G League Data, beginning with the 2023-24 season and running through the 2030-31 season.
