Influencer and youtuber Cartolouco made a bet of 100 thousand reais on a very difficult score in the decision of the Copa do Brasil between Flamengo and Corinthians, which took place this Wednesday, 19, at Maracanã. The combination almost worked.

Cartolouco bet that the two teams would draw 0-0 in normal time and the title dispute would end in penalties. In the event of a hit, the former journalist from Grupo Globo could pocket up to 1 million reais. He got the second half right, as Flamengo won on penalties. But the game ended in a 1-1 draw after 90 minutes.

On his social networks, Cartolouco informed the expressive amount of his bet and explained that it was all the money he had saved to pay for his trip to the World Cup, which will take place from November in Qatar.

“It’s in God’s hands. I bet 100 thousand to return 1 million reais that will not have a goal today in Flamengo and Corinthians! All the money I had saved for the World Cup… I’m feeling sick! Either I win or no Qatar for me”, he commented.

The influencer received a ‘pull of ear’ from his own mother, Sheila, in the comments of the post on Instagram. The conversation between mother and son amused Cartolouco’s followers. “You have no sense. Tired!”, wrote the journalist’s mother, who tried to justify her action: “I love you, mother. It’s a chance to change your life.”

Followers were able to follow the entire saga from Cartolouco to Maracanã

After leaving the station, Cartolouco started to invest in his own YouTube channel, which already has more than 700,000 subscribers. On Instagram, he has already accumulated 871 thousand followers who followed the entire saga from the bet to the first reactions of the influencer after Flamengo opened the scoring in the final just six minutes into the first half.
