Spotlight Sports Group launches World Cup sports betting center

Spotlight Sports Group (SSG) has launched a unique sports betting hub ahead of the much-anticipated World Cup in Qatar at the end of 2022.

The new SSG center follows a series of similar products introduced for other major sporting events, including the Winter Olympics, the Cheltenham Festival and several major darts tournaments.

The 2022 World Cup will be the first of SSG’s sports betting hubs to be specifically populated with live football content. Each of the SSG solutions will be available exclusively in one territory.

Spotlight Sports Group claims that its betting centers can be integrated directly into a sportsbook through its iFrame service, which integrates live odds, adds betting functionality and provides localized content in over 70 languages once installed.

The vendor is confident in the success of its product, citing internal data from previous hubs. The data details that 49% of viewers placed a bet in the same session, after spending an average of two minutes using the site.

Additionally, 79% of SSG users said they have accessed content included in the operator’s hubs to inform them of their sports betting trends at events around the world.

SSG’s Director of B2B Sales, Rob Black, said, “We know – working closely with our partners – that product and marketing teams across the industry are very excited to provide their customers with premium content around major events; but technical roadmaps and waiting lines are getting in the way of innovation”.

“We also know from our research that these integrated content experiences are both favored by customers and that they generate a huge ROI. We can provide amazing betting trips that players will love, taking away that technical headache.”
