Bet365 has released a new free prediction game, Bracket Challenge, to coincide with the start of the NCAA Division 1 Men’s Basketball Tournament. Popularly known as March Madness, the college basketball championship has 68 of the best teams in the United States and Canada.
The first match of the competition will take place on Thursday, the 17th. Therefore, Bet365’s game challenges players from the United States and Canada to accurately predict the results of each match.
Bet365 will pay $100,000 to highest scoring player
The competition features a $100,000 prize for the player who accumulates the highest score, and a grand prize of $5 million for whoever correctly predicts the outcome of all 63 games. Entries must be made prior to the start of March Madness.
Promotions from other bookmakers for March Madness
Several other betting operators have also released their schedules and promotions for the college basketball tournament, including Bally’s Interactive and DraftKings.
Bally’s is offering $100 million to anyone who can predict the results of all 63 games, something that has never been done before. The odds of winning the jackpot are, according to the NCAA, 9.2 quintillion, which is less likely than winning the lottery or being struck by lightning.
More realistically, Bally’s is also offering $100,000 in extra cash prizes to those individuals with the highest scores. Prize money will be distributed as follows: $50,000 to one winner, $25,000 to another hitter, two prizes of $10,000 and $5,000 to another player.
DraftKings has taken a slightly different approach to their promotional activity, partnering with VSiN to offer punters an extensive broadcast schedule and tournament information.
Their schedule, which spanned the group reveal weekend, was aimed at helping punters complete their draw predictions and provide the best odds. An estimated $10 billion is wagered on the tournament each year.
