Barcelona Sporting Club, Ecuador’s most successful football team, has introduced Bet593 as its new sponsor. The insertion of the brand, which belongs to the National Lottery of Ecuador, on the team’s shirt represents the first contract of its kind for the institution of games and betting in 20 years.
As per the terms of the partnership, BET593 will support not only the men’s team, but also the women’s and grassroots teams. The lottery brand will also be present in the stadium, on LED billboards and other marketing properties.
Carlos Alfaro Moreno, president of Barcelona, said that the six-year alliance links the club to the Loteria Nacional, which he defines as a “sponsor with tradition”, as well as mentioning the “pleasant moments of the years 80’s and early 90’s, linked to the club’s success and international commitments”.
On the other hand, José Enrique Rivas, from Loteria Nacional, highlighted his fundamental role in the signing of the agreement, since the manager was also involved in the arrival of Alfaro Moreno to the club when he was still a professional football player.
Likewise, the general manager of Loteria Nacional, Jorge Medina, assured that the signing of this agreement is a “historic” moment for the institution, because “after more than 20 years we returned to a great Ecuadorian football club, remembering when we were on the team shirt as its main partner”.
Medina concluded: “The most important thing about this agreement is that we will not only focus on the main team, but we will give full support to the women’s and youth teams”.

The Ecuador Lottery bookmaker also closed a sponsorship deal with Emelec. Bet593 became a master sponsor for three years and the brand will occupy the central space on the front of the players’ uniform. The partnership was announced on the premises of the George Capwell stadium, where Emelec play their matches.
