Unibet renews sponsorship of French amateur football clubs

Unibet will continue to support French football for the fourth season in a row. The Kindred-owned brand has announced renewed sponsorship of 300 amateur football clubs through the #AuCoeurDuFootball program.

Since 2019, Unibet has helped more than 640 non-professional clubs in the country, equipping their players with shirts, shorts and socks, as well as providing clothing for team employees.

In 2022, the sports betting brand will offer a digital tool designed to streamline administrative management, as “smaller clubs often have to struggle”.

According to Regis Mace of FC Center Bretagne, Unibet’s sponsorship saves the club money and helps increase the sporting entity’s visibility. “We saved around €4,000 thanks to the football kits we received and the extra donations obtained through our social media activity,” he said.

Pedro Sorbal, representative of Es Paris XII, also said: “We are very happy and proud to be chosen as one of the clubs sponsored by Unibet. Both players and employees felt grateful because they helped our clubs to stand out.”

Mathieu Drida, General Manager of Kindred Group in France, said he was honored to be able to support football in his country. “We are very proud to continue supporting amateur football by funding the kits of over 300 clubs and 10,000 players across France.”

Drida also stressed that “due to the current pandemic, many clubs have experienced a massive drop in their revenues and have seen the number of supporters decrease. It was natural for us to strengthen our involvement with the Au Coeur Du Football program and renew for a fourth season.”
