ICE London and iGB Affiliate London postponed to April 2022

The organization of the ICE London event that would be held between the 1st and the 3rd of February 2022 and the iGB Affiliate London, between the 2nd and 5th of February at ExCeL London, decided to reassess the dates according to the Ômicron variant and its impact in travel and attendance of international players.

In recent days, pandemic-related conditions in the UK have started to deteriorate, as they have across Europe. As might be expected, this has heightened current concerns the industry is sharing with the ICE London organization as everyone begins to speed up and execute their preparation and planning for February’s events.

Therefore, the current situation does not provide security for international participants who need to travel to ICE London and iGB Affiliate London.

“With that in mind, it is with regret that I must inform you that ICE London and iGB Affiliate London will be postponed. The Clarion Gaming team and I are working on alternative options as soon as possible, but until then, I need to ask to pause operational planning for February until we confirm new dates,” said Naomi Barton, Director of Clarion Gaming, in an official statement.

ICE London will take place in April of next year

Securing new dates for a global event the size and scale of ICE London and iGB Affiliate London is no easy task, especially given the commitment to delivering an excellent conference in a secure environment.

Naomi added: “Until two weeks ago, nothing stopped ICE and iGB Affiliate London, with participant and exhibitor membership exceeding 2020 levels. But these are not normal times and we are extremely sad to find ourselves in this position yet another turn. However, we are looking for new dates in April 2022 and plan to be in a position to confirm which dates by Wednesday of next week (December 22nd).”
