Sportradar’s Integrity Services division has signed agreements with two major European basketball organizations to offer its Universal Fraud Detection System (UFDS).

The EasyCredit Basketball Bundesliga (easyCredit BBL) and the Slovak Basketball Association (SBA) will benefit from the system free of charge as the company continues its commitment to the integrity of the sport around the world.

A two-year deal will see Integrity Services monitor the easyCredit BBL and Magenta Sport BBL-Pokal competitions, covering nearly 350 games.

BBL also has guaranteed access to premium Integrity Services services upon request, including its Intelligence & Investigation and Education & Prevention segments.

Two great partnerships for Sportradar

“Sports fans around the world want to be involved in sports that they know are played fairly – that’s the beauty of sport and why people love it so much,” said BBL CEO Dr. Stefan Holz.

“We know Sportradar believes in protecting the integrity of our sport as much as we do, which is why we want to work with them. We value the company’s commitment to supporting sports federations and leagues around the world,” adds Holz.

However, for the SBA, Sportradar will monitor around 300 matches, bringing its knowledge of sports betting scams to all Slovakia men’s and women’s basketball league games, as well as to the Slovak Basketball Cup.

SBA Secretary General Andrej Kuffa said: “The SBA recognizes the depth of knowledge and experience that Sportradar’s Integrity Services bring, and our use of the UFDS will strengthen integrity measures in our major competitions.”

The UFDS is a betting monitoring system that, according to Sportradar, has been independently assessed and verified by recognized experts in the field of sports betting and integrity.

A global team of integrity experts will analyze irregular betting patterns and report any suspicious activity to resolve the match fixing issue.

Andreas Krannich, MD of Sportradar Integrity Services, added: “We are delighted to partner with these two forward-thinking organizations to support their efforts in protecting basketball competitions from betting-related manipulations.”
