Betway, the online betting and games company, announced the renewal of its sports betting partnership with the Belgian Cup, the country’s main soccer competition in the ‘kills-to-kill’ formula. The new agreement is an extension of the contract started in 2016.
“A Pro League tem sido um parceiro fantástico nosso há cinco anos e estamos muito satisfeitos em estender nossa parceria com a Croky Cup”, disse o CEO da Betway, Anthony Werkman.
Werkman continued: “The Cup has had five different winners in the last five years and remains an exciting competition in Belgian football. Although there has been no cheering in the last two finals, we hope to see fans return for the 2021-2022 edition.”
With this new arrangement, Betway will have a series of actions on Pro League channels, as well as being entitled to expose its brand in televised games and additional positions in the grand final. Coverage is on FTA TV in Belgium, with the competition giving the company the “desired exposure,” Betway added in a statement.
Leander Monbaliu, CBO of the Pro League, commented: “This extension is a testament to the success story of the longstanding partnership between Betway and the Pro League. The Cup is an exciting competition marked by heroic victories by non-favorite teams and unexpected defeats that resulted in highly exciting finals.”
Monbaliu concluded: “We are looking forward to continuing this great story with Betway.”
