Betting company, Betway expands presence in USA and Europe

Betway continues its market expansion, with the sports betting brand reaching the US state of Iowa and Poland.

The Super Group-owned business went into operation in the Midwestern state, adding Colorado, Indiana, New Jersey and Pennsylvania to form a group of up to 11 US jurisdictions, which the company has access to thanks to an agreement with Digital Gaming Corporation (DGC).

This comes amid the company’s plans to go public on the New York Stock Exchange through a previously announced business combination with Sports Entertainment Acquisition Corp, a publicly traded acquisition group.

In addition, the Super Group has secured a license for Betway to operate in Poland, where the brand intends to leverage the “global appeal” of existing relationships, including deals with the Bundesliga (German Football Championship).

“We are delighted to increase Betway’s presence in the US with the addition of another active market, as well as improving our competitive position in Europe with the new license in Poland.” said Richard Hasson, President and COO of Super Group.

Hasson added: “This progress illustrates our focus and execution as we bring Betway, the leading and unified global online sportsbook brand, to customers in every market and around the world.”

The Super Group, which owns Betway and Spin, an online casino offering, is currently licensed in 24 jurisdictions and appears among the top players in several international markets.

Executive guarantees that Betway will continue its growth process in 2022

Hasson also projected the future of the brand, adding: “Towards 2022, we expect the process of expanding into new markets to continue both internationally and in the US, where the acquisition of DGC gives us access to a total of 11 states.”

The Super Group President concluded: “In our core markets, we continue to thrive on industry leadership, scale and financial flexibility, operating a proven and successful business.”
