Alphabets shuts down and takes investors by surprise

Alphabets Investimentos Esportivos closed its doors and took all its clients by surprise. The business, which has clear characteristics similar to a ‘financial pyramid’, presented itself on the internet as a “supplier of high-performance free software, aiming at profits and income in the sports betting market”.

Rogério Cruz, the leader profile of Alphabets, issued yesterday (8) an official statement confirming the closure of activities:

“We inform you that, as of today, 09/08/21, we are ending the activities of Alphabets. What motivated us was the total impossibility of migrating to a new system and, as everyone knows, there were several mishaps, such as duplicate payments; invasion of our system; sending false receipts; among others”.

“That said, we inform you that we have created a payment plan with solid foundations, starting from scratch and 100% in line with Brazilian law. Finally, we thank you all for your trust, for the work and for the time we spent together. We will need a deadline of 30 days to start and implement the payment plan adopted”.

“We apologize for the inconvenience caused and are committed to honoring the full refund of all amounts received.”

Several customers were taken by surprise by the announcement

A few minutes after the announcement of the company’s closure was confirmed, some communications emerged in one of the company’s Telegram groups, which had more than 1,700 people.

In one of the messages, a post published on behalf of Alphabets asked all investors to take screenshots of the number of licenses activated “before the site fails”.

In the same group, a woman expressed her outrage at the company. “I invested R$ 10 thousand in month 08. It was the money that I saved my whole life. I’m a nurse and I remember every 24-hour shift I gave killing myself to save this money. I haven’t even received the first installment yet”

Alphabets’ Big Return Promises

Inside Instagram, Rogério has almost 18 thousand followers. On the same social network, it was possible to find several personal profiles linked to the company, where some even promised 30% of their monthly income.

The company’s website promises the following: “In just a few clicks you already acquire our exclusive robot, and every profit generated the company charges a performance fee of 30% of the profit, for example: if you make R$1,000.00 profit on month the company gets BRL 300.00 and you get BRL 700.00, our robots get an average of 1.2% to 3.2% per day and you follow all bets daily 6 days a week”.

To attract customers, the company offers eight types of proposals, ranging from investment values ranging from R$100.00 to more than R$100,000. “Real deposits and receipts in a bank account with no withdrawal fee”, promised the Alphabets website, which worked with fortnightly withdrawals.
