Betting company Betsson has signed an agreement with the Chilean national team. The bookmaker has become the football team’s first betting partner. With the agreement, the bookmaker’s brand will be in all the online spaces occupied by “La Roja”, in addition to matches, training, press conferences and official media.
With the contract valid until December 2022, Betsson will be at the side of the selection throughout the dispute of the South American Qualifiers for the World Cup. Therefore, the agreement aims to expand the reach of the two brands and strengthen the relationship of football fans with the bookmaker.
With that in mind, the company introduced the national football team as “a notable brand not only at the sporting level, but also with a strong social component”. In contrast, the selection pointed out that “Betsson is a prominent international brand positioned as one of the leaders in terms of online entertainment, a trend that has been growing in the country”.
Andrea Rossi, commercial director of Betsson in Latin America, said: “The passion that Chileans have for football is one of the strongest that we have seen in Latin America. Through this alliance with the Chilean national team, we want to add value to the country’s fans, support La Roja in the Copa America and be part of the exciting journey to the World Cup, sharing the hope of seeing Chile qualify ”.
Javier Villanueva, general manager of Mediapro Chile, who has the national team’s exploration rights, also said: “the goal is to incorporate innovation into sports sponsorship at La Roja. Today we have a differentiated and global strategy that Mediapro proposed when licensing the commercial rights of the Chilean team ”.
Chilean Football Federation celebrates new partnership with Betsson
The Chilean Football Federation also approved the new partnership and stressed that “this alliance will be beneficial for both parties”. The organization’s marketing manager, Sebastián Iturriaga, said: “We are very happy to have Betsson as the new digital sponsor of La Roja. It is a company with a strong presence in the world sport and with significant growth in recent years ”.
