Entain Announces New Actions to Promote Safer Bets and Safer Games

Entain announced a series of initiatives in support of the “Games Awareness Month”, which takes place in the United States throughout the month of March.

The Entain Foundation invested heavily in education, research and treatment of problematic gaming-related behaviors, with the company’s latest player responsibility and protection initiatives aimed at supporting the electronic sports industry earlier this year.

The first of the three actions involves the joint venture with MGM Resorts, aiming to promote the Eighth Annual Game Disorders Screening Day, led by the faculty of Harvard Medical School.

Another measure involves platinum membership in the Nevada Council on Gambling Problems, while the latest initiative announced was support for research in the United States to establish the extent of existing support for those who identify themselves as vulnerable to gambling-related disorders.

“It is our ambition, along with support from BetMGM, to provide the most comprehensive portfolio of responsible gaming initiatives, partnerships and services in the entertainment industry in the United States,” said Martin Lycka, senior vice president of American Regulatory Affairs and Responsible Gambling.

“We are proud of our commitment and will continue our work of reference in serving this very relevant area”, concluded Lycka.
