The organizers of SAGSE Autonetworking, scheduled for Thursday 17, at the Hipódromo Argentino de Palermo, received with enthusiasm, two weeks ago, the news of the easing in the City of Buenos Aires, based on the decrease of cases of COVID-19.
Therefore, the “only 2020 face-to-face event dedicated to the gaming industry in Latin America” is confirmed and can expand its maximum capacity to 500 people, guaranteeing the protocols and social distance requested by the local health authorities.
“We are very happy to be able to meet in 2020 with some of the main players in the games industry, at least in Argentina. Unfortunately, the pandemic prevented us from carrying out the face-to-face event plans we had planned for this year, “said Alan Burak, vice president of Monografie.
He added: “but we were able to promote other seminars, such as SAGSE Match, SAGSE Talks or SAGSE Talents. And to close the year, we can say that this week we will offer the only live event of the year in Latin America ”.
According to Burak, the response from the operators and invited authorities was positive. “Many have already confirmed their presence and we hope to give everyone a very safe and attractive meeting space, to say goodbye to 2020 and prepare for a 2021 with a complete reactivation of the sector”.
Flexibility in Buenos Aires helped to leverage the event
Since November 30, the government of the City of Buenos Aires has expanded the capacity to hold meetings and social events outdoors, in public and private spaces.
Therefore, the event can increase the number of people. Since the premises of the Hipódromo Argentino de Palermo can offer an occupancy area of four square meters per person, and a limit of 30% of the enabled capacity.
In this way, the organizers were able to offer a face-to-face meeting this year, a real milestone for Monografie at a time of difficulties for the entire sector. However, SAGSE Autonetworking will be a closed event for guests and with restricted access in cars.
“The format is based on a unique and unthinkable experience for other times. It will be an outdoor networking event, where VIP guests will come with their vehicles and park directly at the drive-in, in front of a large stage. It will be a unique experience ”, concluded Burak.
