GGPoker has brought its offer to Romanian players with the launch of a new website, playgg.ro. Operated by Malta-based WindGG, a joint venture between GGN Europe and Skywind Holdings, playgg.ro is licensed and regulated by the National Gaming Office of Romania (ONJN).
“We are very pleased with the partnership with GGPoker. Skywind’s philosophy is to partner locally on a global scale, and we are very excited and proud to be a part of this Romanian initiative,” said Skywind CEO Hilary Stewart-Jones.
Offering a “fully localized experience”, this new site will feature local language player assistance along with responsible gaming and customer protection features as required by the country’s regulator.
GGPoker Global Ambassador and six-time World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet winner Daniel Negreanu is from Romania and will contribute to this new site through dedicated promotions, as well as appearing in playgg.ro advertising.
Also, while the launch of playgg.ro is too late for the WSOP in Las Vegas, it arrived just in time for the WSOP Europe Main Event. With €5 million in prize money at stake, the event will run from December 3-8, 2021, at King’s Casino in Rozvadov, Czech Republic.
GGPoker Head for Europe Marco Trucco commented: “This is another important step in GGPoker’s expansion into regulated European markets. Romanian players now have access to the best poker software, the biggest tournaments and promotions in the industry.”
This follows GGPoker’s expansion into several other European markets earlier this year, including the Netherlands’ new regulated iGaming space in October, and Belgium in July via ggpoker.be.
GGPoker offers the most popular online poker variants, including Texas Hold’em and Omaha, along with exclusive games like Rush & Cash, Flip & Go, Spin & Gold and All-In or Fold.
From freerolls to high roller tournaments, from Bounty Hunters to Sunday Majors and everything in between, the platform has online tournaments for every taste at GGPoker.
