According to the 8th Brazilian Investor X-Ray, the betting audience is more diverse than that of cryptocurrency investors in the country. Bets involve men and women of various ages and social classes. On the other hand, cryptocurrency participants tend to be younger, male and with greater financial knowledge.
The study interviewed 5,846 people aged 16 or older, from groups A/B, C and D/E, in all Brazilian regions. In addition, the interviews took place between November 4 and 22, 2024.
According to the methodology, this sample represents the 160.1 million inhabitants of Brazil, according to the 2022 Census by the IBGE (Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics). The margin of error is 1%, considering the 95% confidence interval.
The survey indicated stability in the number of cryptocurrency investors in Brazil in 2024. Furthermore, the segment had doubled between 2021 and 2023, as reported by Cointelegraph Brasil.
