According to the report “Trends in iGaming 2025“, by SOFTSWISS, Brazil emerges as one of the markets with the greatest growth potential in Latin America. The country is expected to reach revenues of US$4.03 billion by 2029.

This expansion has attracted interest from international and local operators, with more than 113 companies already applying for licenses to operate in the country.

Ivan Montik, founder of SOFTSWISS, highlights the relevance of Brazil in this new scenario: “The Brazilian market is no longer the ‘sleeping giant’. He has awakened, and we are at the forefront of this exciting transformation.”

iGaming Regulation in Brazil

iGaming regulation in Brazil sets strict standards for platforms and providers, requiring detailed systems audits, compliance with KYC practices, AML and adherence to LGPD.

Companies need to demonstrate the security and transparency of their operations, which includes certification of random number generators (RNG). In this context, SOFTSWISS positioned itself as a pioneer, being the first to obtain certification to operate in Brazil with its Game Aggregator, ensuring that its products fully meet new legal and technical requirements.

Therefore, the report also points out that football continues to be the preference of 94% of Brazilian bettors. However, sports such as basketball and eSports have been gaining prominence, with 28% and 29% preference, respectively.

Brazilians’ passion for sports, combined with high digital adoption, projects a dynamic and favorable scenario for the sector’s growth.

Rubens Barrichello, appointed Non-Executive Director of SOFTSWISS, commented on the local potential: “Brazil is becoming one of the most dynamic markets in iGaming. Our approach is focused on innovation and security, offering the best experience for operators and players.”

Companies that want to stand out in Brazil are investing in advanced technologies to provide a safe and personalized experience. SOFTSWISS, for example, has integrated its Game Aggregator with leading providers such as Pragmatic Play, Evolution and Playtech, ensuring a varied portfolio adapted to local preferences.

With the regulation, there was a significant increase in security, as more than 2,040 illegal websites were blocked.

This reinforces Brazil’s commitment to maintaining a safe and competitive gaming environment. For professionals in the sector, the future of iGaming in Brazil looks promising.

Ultimately, the combination of technological innovation with compliance is paving the way for sustainable growth and meaningful opportunities.
