Sportradar announces a multi-year agreement with Major League Baseball (MLB). With this, we will offer performance analysis of grassroots amateur players through the Synergy Coaching and Scouting solution.

This partnership aims to revolutionize talent identification by leveraging Sportradar’s technology to provide innovative and transformative solutions for MLB.

With this agreement, MLB and its 30 clubs will have access to in-depth player analytics. Furthermore, there will be a significant expansion in event coverage, which will go from 3,300 to more than 20,000 games, representing an increase of over 600%.

Coverage will include collegiate competitions, international competitions, professional partner leagues and major amateur leagues such as the MLB Draft League and Appalachian League. For the first time, prominent events at high schools will also be analyzed.

Sportradar’s new solution for MLB

The Synergy Coaching and Scouting solution was developed to meet MLB player evaluation needs. It leverages Sportradar’s expertise in collecting and transforming video data into detailed metrics.

This technology, based on artificial intelligence, allows in-depth analysis of each player and move. As a result, MLB scouts can streamline the evaluation process and make better draft decisions.
