SOFTSWISS, one of the largest global technology companies offering software solutions for the iGaming industry, has completed a series of humanitarian and environmental actions aimed at flood victims in Brazil.
The company, which has a presence and expands its business in the country, carried out emergency initiatives and, at the same time, implemented long-term projects to help people minimize the impact and provide drinking water to those affected by the tragedy.
In partnership with Movimento União BR, SOFTSWISS guaranteed the delivery of food and drinking water. In addition, essential items for the communities most affected by floods in Rio Grande do Sul between April and August 2024.
The emergency phase of the project resulted in direct assistance to hundreds of families, helping to meet basic needs at a critical time.
Participation by Rubens Barrichello
Ivan Montik, founder of SOFTSWISS, said: “Our dedication to Brazil is continuous, and this help was a way of repaying the trust that the country placed in us. We now have employees in the region and, given the recent difficulties, standing idly by was not an option.”
Recently, SOFTSWISS appointed renowned former Brazilian Formula 1 driver Rubens Barrichello as Non-Executive Director for Latin America, with the aim of becoming more actively involved in the Brazilian scene.
This decision not only helps the business, but also expands the charity project into a long-term initiative.
Former Brazilian Formula 1 driver Rubens Barrichello highlighted: “When we started this charity project, I was convinced that it shouldn’t just be one-off financial help.
The immediate crisis passes and first aid is provided, but people are left to deal with all the ecological and social consequences. I’m glad the company shares my beliefs and is committed to a serious, long-term approach.”
Actions to reduce climate disasters in the future
In addition to providing immediate relief, the company has invested in actions to help reduce the impact of future climate disasters. As part of its sustainability initiatives, it implemented water purification systems in two schools in Rio Grande do Sul, ensuring constant access to drinking water for more than 300 families.
The project also includes educational programs, teaching students and teachers about the importance of preserving natural resources and how to face the challenges posed by climate change.
The installation of the purification systems benefits more than 100 local students and staff, with a lasting impact. Thus, the legacy of SOFTSWISS initiatives goes beyond emergency relief.
The company reinforced its mission to promote sustainability by integrating these preventive actions into its social responsibility strategy. The water purification project, for example, meets the immediate needs of schools.
The charity project in Brazil was followed by several other philanthropic efforts around the world. This reflects SOFTSWISS’ commitment as a socially responsible company.
Recently, the group provided assistance to those affected by the earthquake in Türkiye and the floods in Poland, among other global initiatives. Over the past two years, SOFTSWISS has donated more than $2 million to support charitable causes.
