SOFTSWISS, one of the iGaming industry’s leading software providers, announced the launch of its private bug bounty program to increase cybersecurity.
The program has a clear and overarching objective. First, it invites white hat hackers to participate. Additionally, it extends the invitation to independent security researchers.
The main purpose is to identify vulnerabilities in systems. As an incentive, the program offers rewards for discoveries made. All this effort aims to guarantee the highest level of security for SOFTSWISS customers.
To ensure that only significant cases that meet specific requirements are reported, SOFTSWISS has launched a private program with invitation-only access.
Invite-only programs encourage white hat hackers to pay close attention to terms and requirements, resulting in higher quality reports.
While public programs may offer broader perspectives but tend to generate more irrelevant reports, private release ensures that the focus remains on critical security issues.
Financial incentives
The Bug Bounty Program offers financial incentives of up to 3,500 euros, depending on the severity and complexity of the vulnerabilities discovered. This program serves as an additional layer of defense by providing unbiased, external assessments from highly qualified security experts.
“We care about the safety of our customers and their players, which is why it is important for us to not only pay close attention to protecting the products we develop, but also constantly check our applications with the help of external experts and enthusiasts. qualified”, said Evgeny Zaretskov, Group Information Security Director at SOFTSWISS.
“In collaboration with the community of experts, we can ensure a reliable level of data protection and uninterrupted operations for all our customers. SOFTSWISS is proud to set a new standard in cybersecurity by leveraging crowdsourcing expertise,” he added.
According to Zaretskov, “In this constantly evolving landscape, even a small bug can lead to significant losses for operators. The Bug Bounty Program is an extra measure to protect our current and future customers.”
SOFTSWISS Bug Bounty Program
The program started with two products: the Online Casino Platform and the SOFTSWISS Sports Betting Platform. It is conducted in a dedicated testing environment, which operates independently of live casino systems, ensuring there is no disruption to the player experience or platform performance.
“Cybersecurity is an ongoing battle. “No company can discover all vulnerabilities on its own,” added Artyom Buchkov, Deputy CSO.
“This program allows talented hackers to legally break into an online casino, helping to anticipate and defend against potential threats. This reinforces our commitment to providing the most secure software and platforms in the iGaming industry.”
In the future, the SOFTSWISS cybersecurity team plans to expand the workforce. Additionally, they intend to add more products and refine requirements to maintain the highest security standards across all platforms.
Meanwhile, cybersecurity in iGaming, along with other important industry topics, can be discussed with experts and product teams at the SBC Summit in Lisbon, on stand B-160, from September 24th to 26th.
