SOFTSWISS, an international technology specialist with over 15 years of experience providing innovative iGaming solutions, has launched a new sports betting project in 14 calendar days. The company shares insights into sports betting over the past quarter and results from its Sportsbook.
SOFTSWISS launched 22 projects in the last quarter
In Q2 2024, the SOFTSWISS Sportsbook team launched 22 new projects across 11 casino platforms, including the SOFTSWISS Casino Platform. This highlights the full compatibility of the SOFTSWISS sports betting platform with casino platforms on the market.
Alexander Kamenetskyi, Director of SOFTSWISS Sportsbook, adds: “The SOFTSWISS Sportsbook team ended this quarter with excellent results. Thus, we increased our margin and achieved a 149% increase in revenue compared to the previous quarter and a 403% growth compared to the previous year.”
“In addition, we set a new record by launching a project in just 14 calendar days, from the date of contract signing to the first bet. I want to extend my gratitude to our team and our partners for their exceptional work.”
Football remains the top choice for bettors, representing 55% of all bets and gaining six percentage points in revenue by the first quarter of 2024.
Tennis and basketball are also among the top three sports for betting. The second quarter of 2024 was notably marked by UEFA Euro 2024, which boosted football more than usual and will likely be the most important sporting event of the year.

Major events such as the European football competition continue to attract new users to the platform, with 8% of players being first-time bettors. The most popular betting markets were match results and the number of goals. The match between Portugal and Slovenia was the most profitable, with a return of 55.4%.
“Football will remain the main sport for the next three to five years, until the eSports generation matures,” said Alexander Kamenetskyi, director of SOFTSWISS Sportsbook.
Traditionally, football serves as an entry point into the world of betting. Players often start with popular football markets before exploring other sports.
This year’s UEFA Euro 2024 was fundamental for the sector. SOFTSWISS ended up launching 18 new projects in the month leading up to the tournament and with the remaining 4 launched well before the tournament.
Betting trends continue to show a strong preference for mobile devices, with 89% of bets placed via mobile and 11% via desktop. It’s important to note that working adults, professional bettors, and scammers are more likely to use desktops to bet.
Recently, SOFTSWISS presented a valuable tool for anyone thinking about launching a sports betting project. The Sports Betting Budget Calculator is designed to help with budgeting, containing a convenient P&L and list of practical tips.
