Genius Sports Limited (“Genius Sports”) announced the appointment of Tiago Horta Barbosa, a specialist in combating match-fixing, as its new Head of Integrity for Latin America.
With over 20 years of experience in law enforcement, sports regulation and technology, Tiago will play a crucial role in driving Genius Sports‘ integrity partnerships in Brazil and across Latin America.
The executive has an impressive track record, having served as a criminal police officer at Interpol and a prosecutor at the Superior Court of Sports Justice (“STJD”) for football.
Additionally, he is an active member of the Integrity Committees of the São Paulo Football Federation (“FPF”), International Table Tennis Federation (“ITTF”) and the Fair Play Defense Committee of the Brazilian Olympic Committee (“COB”) .
In his new role, Tiago Horta will lead Genius Sports’ integrity strategy across Latin America.
This will include holding personalized educational workshops for players, coaches and officials, working with sportsbooks to improve information sharing practices and seeking new partnerships.

In principle, Tiago will support Genius Sports‘ position as a founding member of ABRADIE, helping to bring together key stakeholders to ensure Brazilian sports are fair, transparent and unpredictable.
Genius Sports is known for its integrity partnership with various sports leagues and federations. Eventually the Brazilian National Basketball League, the Brazilian Volleyball Confederation and the National Futsal League.
Additionally, the company works with international organizations such as the Argentine Football Association (AFA), Colombia’s Dimayor, Liga MX, DFB, Premier League and NFL.
