The Indonesian Basketball League (IBL) has expanded its partnership with Genius Sports to launch a comprehensive integrity program to combat the threat of match-fixing.
Genius Sports is an integrity partner to the English Premier League, NFL, Germany FA, PGA TOUR and over 150 leagues and federations worldwide. Through 24/7 monitoring and personalized educational services, the group will help protect the transparency and unpredictability of IBL-sponsored events.
Genius will provide the league with expert forensic data and global betting information on its events. Real-time odds movements will be analyzed by Genius’ Bet Monitoring System and cross-referenced with predictive algorithms to automatically detect and flag any suspicious activity. The company’s team of integrity analysts will review all tournament monitoring data, providing the league with regular and detailed reports.
More than 300 IBL players, coaches and officials also received a series of specialist educational workshops highlighting: the league’s rules on integrity, the personal consequences of match-fixing scandals and the dangers of sharing privileged information.
