Sportradar renews partnership with the Big Ten Network

Sportradar announced that it will continue to power the Big Ten Network platforms for another two years. The initial partnership between Sportradar and Big Ten Network took place in 2021, where the two groups collaborated to relaunch the B1G+ product.

The new B1G+ streaming platform offers around 1,500 live streams of Olympic sports, as well as on-demand basketball and football games. Sportradar provided the OTT solutions to support OTT backend and frontend, UI design and third party integration.

This end-to-end solution created a comprehensive library on the Big Ten platform that can be customized to allow viewers to follow their preferred content. Extending this partnership for another two years ensures that Sportradar can power the B1G+ OTT platform through the 2024-25 collegiate athletics season.

Additionally, the company will enhance the user experience with access to Big Ten Network content by integrating on-screen sports data visualizations. Other features incorporated into the Big Ten Conference coverage include behind-the-scenes footage, highlights, press conferences, and additional coverage of the season.

Sportradar US CEO Arne Rees said, “Today’s sports audiences expect a highly personalized experience tailored to their unique interests. Using our data-driven OTT technology and solutions, which have been developed and refined over the past 15 years, the Big Ten Network now has the flexibility to meet and exceed viewer demands.”

“We look forward to working closely with the Big Ten Network and helping them deliver an innovative product to their fans now and in the future,” added Rees.
