FanDuel Group, owned by Flutter Entertainment, has entered into a multi-year content production partnership with global audio streaming platform Spotify. Under the new agreement, which builds on an existing partnership between the two parties, the company will work with Spotify’s “The Ringer” website, the podcast network and the video production company to create content for FanDuel TV.
The Ringer will license selected video podcasts to FanDuel TV, including existing shows adapted for the platform and a host of new shows covering sports and competitions such as the National Basketball Association (NBA).
Content will also include shows dedicated to sports betting and betting on a variety of sporting events.
“We are extremely excited about this partnership and further strengthening our relationship with The Ringer,” said FanDuel Commercial Director Mike Raffensperger. “They are ‘home’ to one of the strongest podcast networks in the world and FanDuel TV can help define a new medium for distributing their content.”
“FanDuel TV is the perfect platform to showcase The Ringer’s top personalities, grow its audiences and become the network’s premier programming,” added Raffensperger.
The Ringer’s managing director, Geoff Chow, added: “We’re thrilled to expand our long-standing partnership to include creating content for FanDuel TV. It’s exciting to bring The Ringer’s blend of enthusiasm and experience to this new audience. “
