SOFTSWISS, a technology company that provides comprehensive solutions for the iGaming industry, reported the best performance of the Anti-Fraud team in its Managed Services. In 2022, the experts helped partners save more than €16 million through their professional assistance, 14% more than the previous year’s result.
In 2022, this service from the iGaming provider processed 61,810 requests across 200 projects, recording a 53% increase in its output year-on-year. As a result, SOFTSWISS customers have achieved greater savings on their bills. In the fourth quarter of 2022, the amount saved almost doubled compared to the first quarter of 2022, showing an impressive growth of 88%.
Nearly 70% of all fraud stopped by the anti-fraud team was bonus abuse, with money laundering and payment system abuse accounting for 10% each.
Furthermore, cryptography has become an easy target for fraudsters, as the decentralized and anonymous nature of these digital assets creates an environment that facilitates operation. Therefore, encryption is now a matter of close attention by anti-fraud teams.
Ilya Nesterau, leader of the anti-fraud team, says: “It has been an extremely positive year for the anti-fraud team in our fight against negative actors in the industry. Our team continues to expand at a rapid pace, with our headcount more than doubling in 2022 as we become an increasingly vital part of our infrastructure.
“Together with the Research and Development team, we do our best to develop new fraud detection tools and become even more effective. From implementing neural networks to machine learning, we focus on being more proactive and forward-looking in our approach to work.”
Throughout 2022, the SOFTSWISS anti-fraud team obtained several important certifications, including 2 ACFE certificates and 2 GamCare certificates and a DPP/DPM certificate. Dedicated Anti-Fraud Support is part of the SOFTSWISS roadmap—a comprehensive solution that helps customers facilitate the growth of their iGaming brand.
In addition to improving the user experience and catching technical errors, the team helps clients improve their financial performance and protect their business from fraud.
