Playmaker Capital has announced a new partnership with the NBA that will allow highlights from the North American Basketball League to appear on Futbol Sites social media in select Latin American countries.
For NBA fans in Argentina, Chile, Bolivia, Colombia, Paraguay, Peru, Ecuador, Uruguay and Venezuela, the NBA will now showcase its highlights on Futbol Sites’ Facebook, Twitter and YouTube channels – which include Bolavip, Cracks, Varsky Sports and RedGol.
In addition, fans in Latin America will also be able to sign up for the NBA’s League Pass – a subscription service that will give fans access to an entire game season in high definition with live stats, multiple viewing options and alternate audio.
The news comes days after Second Spectrum revealed it had entered into a multi-year partnership with the NBA to develop a new technology platform.
The Genius Sports-owned company has been named the NBA’s Official Pass Enhancement Provider and the NBA’s Official Basketball Analytics Provider, with Mark Locke, CEO of Genius Sports, saying of the deal, “As one of the most technologically advanced leagues world sports, NBA teams, fans, broadcasters and media partners demand cutting-edge innovations.”
“We are excited to expand our long-term partnership with the NBA. We are proud that the NBA shares our vision that Dragon can solve the technology challenges of the future.”
Meanwhile, the NBA also recently became part of the American Gaming Association’s ‘Have A Game Plan’ initiative, which aims to educate basketball fans on responsible sports betting practices by providing turnkey solutions to 30 basketball league teams.
