Sportech’s chief financial officer will step down later this year to take up a role elsewhere. Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Nicola Rowlands, has informed Sportech’s board of directors of her intention to leave the company with effect from 30 September.
Nicola Rowlands’ dismissal will end his history at Sportech, which spanned more than a decade. The businesswoman joined Sportech in 2010 as the group’s Financial Controller, before becoming Chief Financial Officer in 2021.
Rowlands reflected on her time with the company, commenting, “I have been with Sportech for nearly twelve years and have greatly enjoyed my time with the company and am proud of what has been achieved by its management and employees.”
She added: “I am confident that Sportech will continue to deliver value to both shareholders and customers and I wish the board and team all the best for the future.”
His departure will leave the company in need of a new CFO. To that end, she is looking to name a replacement “in due course.” Rowlands, however, will remain until the organization publishes its interim results in September to ensure “an orderly transition”.
“We thank Nicola for her dedication, professionalism and support to the group, specifically during the past few years, when she has played a key role in the transactions and restructuring of the business, resulting in the elimination of debt and the return of significant capital to shareholders,” he said. Richard McGuire, Executive Chairman of the company.
“She will leave here with our best wishes for her future career.”
