Entain has published its 2021-22 Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Initiatives Report, which outlines the company’s approach and performance in relation to sustainability and issues related to ESG topics.

The report details the progress Entain has made in implementing the objectives of its Sustainability Charter, which is built around four fundamental principles; an exclusive focus on regulated markets, continuing to take the lead in responsible betting and gaming, best-in-class corporate governance, and investing for its people and local communities.

As noted by the company, highlights of the report include more than 99% of the group’s revenues coming from regulated markets in 2021, citing an increase in the number of regulated jurisdictions to 31, as the company moved out of 10 markets where it did not see a path to sustainable regulation by the first quarter of 2022.

The company also received the Advanced Safer Gambling Standard from GamCare, and increased its UK Research, Education and Treatment (RET) contributions to 0.5%.

“Over the past year, we have continued to make great strides in all areas of ESG, which is fully integrated across all of our operations,” said Entain CEO Jette Nygaard-Andersen.

“We are committed to providing the safest betting and gaming platform possible, taking a leading role in supporting the communities in which we operate, reducing our environmental impact and in doing so, we make Entain the best place to work for all our people” .

“By realizing this ambition, we will create long-term sustainable growth for all our shareholders,” concluded Jette.
