888 Holdings launched its new responsible gaming product, The Control Center, in Italy. Italy is one of the group’s main regulated markets. The operator’s new product will allow Italian customers to monitor their gaming activities, presenting them with real-time data on gaming account usage.
The app will also have several control tools, including a self-restriction feature called ‘take a break’ and deposit limits, among other self-exclusion tools. 888 first launched The Control Center in the UK in late 2020 and has since made the product available in many different markets.
The company sees a 23% increase in usage of its responsible gaming tool over 2021. The operator says that customers who use the product are 20% more likely to change their Personal Deposit Limit (PDL) and 102% more chances of using the ‘take a break’ tool.
The operator’s new ESG framework will, according to 888, empower customers to make safe and responsible decisions about their betting and gaming choices, while normalizing the use of safer gaming tools.
Andrew Anthony, Vice President of Customer Security at 888, said: “I am delighted to see The Control Center implemented in another of our key markets. At 888, we recognize the need to use our proprietary technology to protect customers and promote safer gaming.”
Anthony added: “By providing customers with transparent information about their gaming activities in real-time, we continue to ensure that safer gaming remains at the heart of the 888 customer experience.”
