LeoVegas Group is registered as an iGaming operator in Ontario, Canada. The group was notified of the registration by the Ontario Alcohol and Gaming Commission, describing the move as an “important step in the province’s licensing process.”
The next and final step involves entering into an operational agreement with iGaming Ontario, which is possible once the group has completed the necessary integration steps. The company aims to offer casino, live casino and betting products in the province under the LeoVegas and Royal Panda brands.
“The expansion of Ontario and North America aligns with LeoVegas Group’s strategy to grow in locally regulated markets and in markets to be regulated soon,” read a company statement.
“LeoVegas Group also announced plans for a US launch later this year, starting with the state of New Jersey. In the fourth quarter of 2022, revenues from the Regulated and Locally Taxed Markets group accounted for 74% of total revenues.”
Revenue earned in Canada represents 13% of LeoVegas’ total revenue
LeoVegas added that it has established strong brands with a loyal customer base in Ontario and across Canada, with revenues from the country representing 13% of the group’s total revenue as of January 2022.
