SOFTSWISS Game Aggregator earns a Greek license

SOFTSWISS Game Aggregator has received a ‘Manufacturer Suitability License’ (A.1), which will allow the company to expand its presence in the Greek market. The Hellenic Gaming Commission (HGC) has ruled that SOFTSWISS can legally provide B2B gaming services.

The A.1 category license allows the company to offer its services to gaming operators in Greece for 7 years. Under current licensing conditions, the SOFTSWISS solution can legally provide local operators with access to content from 12 game studios.

Company received another Greek authorization earlier this year

Earlier this year, SOFTSWISS obtained a Greek B2C gaming license for its first partnership project in the local iGaming market. According to legislation, the authorization is intended to operate in Greece and is available to players with Greek passports, ID cards and bank accounts, as well as permanent residents of the country.

Official operation in the territory of Greece became possible after the adoption of new regulations by the government in October 2019. As a result, the Hellenic Gaming Commission (HGC) opened the application process for new online gaming licenses at the end of 2020.

The new rules establish two types of operating licenses: for online games and for online bets. The new rules provide authorizations for B2C operation and B2B online gaming solution provider licenses.

“Obtaining a gaming license in Greece was the result of long and hard work by SOFTSWISS, who over the years have accumulated vast experience and understanding of the iGaming market. Recognizing the needs of our customers, we are constantly advancing in development and looking for new solutions,” said Andrey Starovoitov, COO of SOFTSWISS.

Starovoitov continued: “One of them was obtaining local licenses, which allowed SOFTSWISS to expand its presence into new regions. This summer, we have already opened a Greek market with a B2C gaming license. Now, with the new B2B license, local operators will be able to enjoy the benefits of Game Aggregator. We have a lot to offer the local gaming industry so I’m sure we have a lot of projects and partnerships to come.”
