Main Devices by Bet Counting
Although the use of cell phones in online gaming has increased in recent years, by a large margin among all devices used for fixed-odds betting, desktops dominate. Its share is three times that of mobile devices. However, statistics change drastically with regard to the number of bets placed.
In this case, users prefer mobile devices, which lead with 77.16% compared to desktops (22.64%). It’s normal for desktop users to place larger bets, but less often. In turn, bets on mobile devices are more frequent, but smaller.
Alexander Kamenetskyi, Product Owner of SOFTSWISS Sportsbook, commented: “Our customers’ big gamers rely more on desktops. One of the reasons is the convenience in obtaining information, as well as the greater confidence in this interaction format when it comes to large sums. On the other hand, the greater number of bets placed on mobile devices is due to the increasingly fast pace of life”.
He continued: “The cell phone keeps us up to date regardless of time or location. This is reflected in the statistics. We see this trend and understand that mobile devices are the future. Therefore, one of our main goals for the coming years is to ensure that the share of bets placed on mobile devices is above 80% and that our goal is 100% overall.”

One of the top KPIs in the gaming business is GGR. This indicator reflects the value in the casino as a result of the visitor’s game, before operating costs are deducted. It is calculated as total bets minus total wins.
The US dollar is the main currency used by bettors and accounts for 61.15% of all sports betting. The Euro comes in second place, with about half of this share (30.37%).

Gender by sum of bets
These data take into account the distribution of the bet amount and the count of bets in the following groups: women, men and gender neutral people who, for whatever reason, chose not to indicate their gender.
In this case, the statistics are to be expected. Men still bet more often than women or gender neutral players: 73.06%, 12.60% and 14.34% of the total, respectively.
At the same time, more than 70% of all money spent on betting is accounted for by players who have not indicated their gender or choose to remain gender neutral. Of the remaining two groups, women accounted for only 3.45% of total bets and 24.05% for men.

Maybe it’s because the player who wants to play wants to get started as soon as possible. But when they receive their earnings, they are willing to spend some time and fill in the necessary details.
