Playtech says its “very strong online performance” followed in its last commercial update, covering the period January 1st to June 30th, 2021.
The group says it performed in line with expectations, with its online business continuing to perform very strongly as retail in Italy started to reopen from mid-June.
Period highlights include:
- The multi-product business with the Greenwood companies, which operate Parx Casino;
- O foco em Michigan com novos lançamentos planejados para 2021 e 2022;
- A strategic agreement with Holland Casino, for the group’s entry into Europe.
Playtech also announced a global distribution agreement with Scientific Games, while its Asian business was somewhat stable in 2020.
“While the Covid-19 pandemic continues to pose challenges and macroeconomic prospects remain uncertain with the possibility of new unexpected locks given the strong online performance and momentum within the business, management is confident in the company’s prospects for the rest of 2021”, according to Playtech’s statement.
The company added that it expects to publish a new statement in the coming days to update shareholders on the Finalto sale process, while it will announce its interim results on September 23, 2021.
