Sportradar-estende-parceria-com-a-Federacao-Internacional-de-Tenis-de-Mesa

Sportradar Integrity Services and the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) have extended their integrity partnership through the end of 2023.

As part of the agreement, events organized or sanctioned by the ITTF will be monitored by Sportradar’s Fraud Detection System, a monitoring system that has been verified by recognized experts.

Through the system, a global team of integrity experts analyze irregular betting patterns and any suspicious matches are reported to partners. This is intended to expose any correspondence that occurs worldwide.

More than 500 suspicious matches detected

Last year, Sportradar detected more than 500 suspicious matches across the world of sport and managed to compile more than 5,500 similar reports over the past 15 years.

In addition, the ITTF will also have access to Sportradar Intelligence & Investigation Services; this will allow the federation to identify and investigate any threats and integrity issues.

ITTF CEO Steve Dainton said, “Protecting the integrity of our events is very important, and our partnership with Sportradar Integrity Services helps strengthen our integrity program.”

“By utilizing their extensive experience in the field of sport integrity, we believe we are in the strongest possible position to identify integrity issues in our competitions, and address any emerging risk factors that threaten our sport,” concludes Dainton.

Sportradar’s Director of Integrity Services Andreas Krannich added: “In our position as a leader in sports integrity, it is our top priority to provide our partners with an effective framework to combat match correction and other integrity issues, especially when considering the increased risk for global sport as a result of the challenges brought by the Covid-19 pandemic.

“We look forward to continuing to support the ITTF integrity program, and to help maintain the integrity of global table tennis competitions.”
