Swedish Football Association signs new partnership with Sportradar

The Swedish Football Association (SvFF) has reached an agreement with Sportradar, the world’s leading provider of sports solutions, to monitor and protect the integrity of its national football competitions.

Under the agreement, Sportradar will monitor more than 2,000 matches in Division 1, Division 2, Swedish U21 Championship, Swedish U19 Championship, and friendly matches involving national football teams during the 2021 season, employing its solution of market-leading betting monitoring, the Fraud Detection System (FDS).

Sportradar has already supported SvFF in a recent investigation into a former player from the lower divisions. And, from this contract, SvFF will again be able to use the supplier’s intelligence and investigation services during the partnership period.

Johan Claesson, from the Swedish Football Association’s integrity sector, commented: “We are taking all necessary steps to protect our sport and, in bringing Sportradar’s services to monitor our competitions, we now have valuable global oversight of the football markets. betting through its integrity experts ”.

Claesson added: “By adding your intelligence and investigation services to our integrity program as well, we are confident that we will gain an extra layer of visibility and awareness of the potential risks to sport, as we have already seen through collaboration in a recent investigation.”
