The PayRetailers payment platform closed a sponsorship agreement for the South American Cup. The contract covers the next two editions of the continental competition, which involves 47 football teams from 10 countries.
This partnership is the first of PayRetailers, which, since the beginning of its operations, sees location as a determining factor for payment processing. In the past four years, the company has managed to expand its operations and already has physical representation in 12 markets in Latin America, in addition to plans to settle in Paraguay soon.
“By allowing customers to accept payments in local currencies and settle funds globally on its platform, PayRetailers helped promote e-commerce and reduce the financial exclusion that has affected the region,” said the company.
As proof that payment platforms are attracting attention in the regional market, PayRetailers pointed out that this is the first time that a payment service provider has become an official partner of the South American Cup.
“The importance of fintech companies in the development of Latin American trade and its connection with the rest of the world is also evidenced by the fact that PayRetailers grew by more than 500% in 2020”, explained the company.
