The Argentine Football Association (AFA), the sport’s governing body in the country and one of the largest soccer organizations in the world, selected the Genius Sports Group (GSS) as its exclusive partner for live data and integrity.
In more than 3,300 games per season and 13 competitions, including the Professional Football League (former Superliga) and National First B, Genius Sports will have exclusive rights to capture live game data from stadiums and distribute it to betting operators around the world.
As a trusted integrity partner of the Premier League, Dimayor Colombia and the German Football Association, the Genius Sports Group will protect all levels of Argentine football from threats of match-fixing and gambling-related corruption.

The GSS betting monitoring system will provide 24/7 visibility and protection, comparing global betting patterns with predictive algorithms to automatically flag any potentially suspicious activity.
Claudio Tapia, AFA president, said: “For the Argentine Football Federation, it was a top priority to establish an official system of data and statistics for our competitions to increase revenue and expand our international audience.”

GSS signs agreement with dMY Technology
On October 27, 2020, Genius Sports signed a business combination agreement with the dMY Technology Group, to boost its expansion as a leading provider of official data and technology.
After the transaction, the combined company expects its common shares and guarantees to be listed on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbols “GENI” and “GENI WS”, respectively.
