With In-Person Edition Postponed to 2021, ICE Africa 2020 Will Be Online

Clarion Gaming has announced that the third edition of Africa’s premier gaming conference, ICE Africa, will take place online. The event is scheduled for October 27, 28 and 29.

The organization expects the face-to-face conference to take place next year, on September 21 and 22, at the Sandton Convention Center, Johannesburg, South Africa.

With a series of reports and tools available during the pre-event, the digital network and the conference platform will give participants the opportunity to discuss the main challenges of the current market.

For the first time, ICE Africa content will be available in English and French. Those interested will also be able to take advantage of MATCH! Buyer Program: a platform based on artificial intelligence, which offers meetings and increases the return on investment.

Clarion Gaming’s training division, Totally Gaming Academy, will host individual training sessions, providing the chance to learn from industry experts at a time when Covid-19 is causing paralysis of traditionally successful verticals in the whole continent.

In addition, ICE Africa’s Women in Gaming (WIG) campaign will be conducted digitally after the successful launch in 2019.

Therefore, the project will continue to highlight the phenomenal contribution of women in the African gaming industry. Organizers will reveal more details about WIG 2020 soon.

ICE Africa will be the third Clarion event to join the virtual format

Thus, ICE Africa becomes the third show in Clarion Gaming’s ICE portfolio to migrate to digital as a result of the pandemic, following the successful debuts of ICE North America Digital and ICE Asia Digital.

Each event was designed based on the needs of local stakeholders, according to the Group’s events director, Greg Saint: “The key for us is to continue to help the public to solve their needs, which have changed considerably since the last in-person edition of ICE Africa”.

Saint added: “We treat each event individually, although the two recent events have been good in terms of participants’ satisfaction. The goal of ICE Africa 2020 is to help everyone in a difficult time. This time, we will help them to reach the same goals as before, but in an online format “.
