Sports betting operator PointsBet has been chosen as the new official partner of the PGA Tour. As of now, the company gains rights in the United States to explore the brands of the PGA Tour, as well as to disclose in the associated media and platforms.

In addition, the operator also acquired the rights to content and videos, facilitating the development of attractions for betting before and after the games, in addition to the distribution of promotions and bonuses to bettors.

PointsBet perspectives

According to SBC Notícias, PGA Tour and PointsBet will also work together to produce probability-based material for fans for digital platforms and the mobile app.

“We are excited to be working with PointsBet, a world-class brand with an exciting vision of the potential of golf in the betting space,” said Norb Gambuzza, senior vice president of media and games at PGA TOUR.

Gambuzza added: “PointsBet has made a substantial commitment to golf through a robust product offering and an emphasis on live betting and gambling. Both will translate into greater audience development for the PGA Tour. PointsBet’s golf products are experiencing incredible growth, laying the foundation for a very successful relationship. ”

Johnny Aitken, CEO of PointsBet in the United States, also spoke publicly. “The PointsBet team is excited about partnering with PGA TOUR and working closely with a forward thinking group that also recognizes the potential of golf in sports betting.”

The CEO continued: “PointsBet has and operates its technology from end to end, which means that we have full control over the product we offer. This allows us to introduce bet types that cannot be found in another market and improve the viewing experience through a faster and more integrated application ”.

Expressive results

According to SBC Notícias, PointsBet has grown significantly in golf games since its launch last year, providing 500% more betting possibilities for PGA Tour compared to the industry average.

In 2020, more than 50% of the company’s golf score was produced by live and in-game betting, as opposed to direct betting in tournaments or rounds.
